NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -The Nashville Predators made up for the loss of injured centers Jason Arnott and Josef Vasicek with a complete team effort.

Scott Hartnell scored two goals and added an assist and Tomas Vokoun and Chris Mason combined to stop 34 shots in the Predators' 6-0 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

"We got good contributions from all over the lineup," Trotz said. "One of the things you find out about your team when you have injuries is who is going to step up and make a difference. Everybody stepped up. That's how we are going to win. We win when we are good as a team."

Vokoun made 21 saves in the first two periods before sitting out the third because of a hand injury. Darcy Hordichuk, Alexander Radulov, Marek Zidlicky and Shea Weber added goals for the Predators.

"Tomas got hit in the hand," Trotz said. "He was having trouble holding the stick so we pulled him out to have him evaluated. We'll have a clearer idea Friday. They took some X-rays. There is no break. But the doctor will look at him again."

Hartnell led the Predators' attack.

"We wanted to test their goaltender early," Hartnell said. "We had a lot to prove. We all did a good job of getting pucks to the net. It wasn't the night for their goalies."

The Predators are 4-0-1 in the second half of back-to-back games this season.

"Coach Trotz does a good job of using everyone, the whole bench, in the first game of a back-to-back," Hartnell said. "The guys have fresh legs and a lot of energy for the second game."

Radulov and Weber each had a goal and an assist, Paul Kariya added three assists and Martin Erat had two assists.

"We had good focus and good energy," Trotz said. "We had some jump. Early on it was the young guys like Radulov and Jordin Tootoo that got us going."

Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault blamed his entire team for the loss.

"Our execution with the puck was off," Vigneault said. "We could have played better in front of our goaltenders. This loss was obviously a team loss. We weren't good enough in all areas."

Vancouver backup goalie Dany Sabourin gave up five of the six goals. He was benched at the 12:37 mark of the second period, with Roberto Luongo playing the rest of the period. Sabourin returned to play the scoreless third.

The Predators took a 2-0 lead in the first 4:31.

Radulov struck first, skating through the slot and putting the puck over Sabourin's glove at 2:43. Hordichuk followed with another shot high to the glove side that deflected off of the shaft of his stick.

In the second period, Nashville scored four goals on nine shots.

Hartnell found the net twice, first on the power play at 10:09 when he posted up in front of the net and put the puck high to the stick side.

At 12:20 Zidlicky skated in from the right side into the crease area. Sabourin got a glove on Zidlicky's shot, but couldn't control it as the puck bounced out and across the goal line.

Seventeen seconds later, Hartnell scored his second goal of the game, again standing in front of the net as he pushed the puck past Sabourin.

At 16:20, Weber scored on the power play with a slap shot from the right point, the only goal given up by Luongo.

Notes: The Predators have not allowed a power play goal in their last three games (13-13). ... Kariya has eight points (one goal, seven assists) in his last six games. ... David Legwand was credited with an assist, giving him six points (three goals, three assists) in his last six games. ... Vancouver is 8-3-0 against Central Division opponents this season.
