Canucks @ Oilers - Game Preview
Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks head into their final game of the preseason in Edmonton as they prepare to faceoff against the Oilers.

After playing the Calgary Flames just the night before in a 2-1 shootout win, Vancouver gets back at in at Rexall Place for a rematch of last Saturday's game, where the Canucks beat the Oilers 3-1 at GM Place.

Mason Raymond won it for the Canucks in the fifth round of the shootout in Calgary to improve their preseason record to 7-0-1 and look to improve that record with a win before the start of the regular season.

Roberto Luongo made 24 saves including all five stps in the shootout Saturday night in Vancouver's victory. His next appearance in net for the Canucks will be October 1st in the Canucks season opener in the regular season.

Cory Schneider will be the man between the pipes for Vancouver as he gets his final chance this preseason to show the coaching staff that he is ready to take the next step into the NHL.

Sunday night will be Schneider's second full game in the preseason.  IN his first appearance, he earned a 5-4 victory in a shootout against the Flames at GM Place.  He made 13 saves on 17 shots.

Henrik and Daniel Sedin are expected to be in the lineup in Edmonton, as well as Steve Bernier, Alex BUrrows, and Kevin Bieksa, who were all absent from Saturday's roster against the Oilers.

On the Oilers side, head Coach Pat Quinn emphasized that evalutations are still underway and Sunday's line-up will not necessarily reflect the regular season squad.

Edmonton cut eight players from their preseason roster Monday and now has 34 players remaining. The Canucks carry 37 players after making one cut Friday, prior to travelling to Alberta.
