Canucks @ Flames - Game Preview
Vancouver Canucks

If the preseason is any indication of what the regular season holds, then the Canucks are going to be great.

Vancouver opened with six consecutive wins and holds the best exhibition record in the League (6-0-1) with two games remaining in their preseason schedule.

The Canucks are one of three teams to play nine exhibition games - the most in the League. Carolina plays just four preseason games and the New Jersey Devils play just five- the fewest of the 30 teams.

Fortunately, the Canucks have been able to carry a large preseason roster, which has allowed them to dress a different lineup every game and is no doubt part of the team's success.

After releasing one player Friday, the Canucks travel with 37 players.

The Calgary Flames are closer to finalizing their regular season roster as they head into their final exhibition game with 28 players remaining on the preseason lineup.

The Flames are 3-2-1 in their six games this preaseason.

In the teams' last meeting, the Canucks narrowly beat the Flames 5-4 in a shootout at GM Place Monday night.

Daniel Sedin forced overtime with 0:02 remaining in the game and scored in the shootout to help the Canucks to victory.

Roberto Luongo gets the start in net at the Saddledome.  In his three preseason appearnces, Luongo has a 1.45 GAA and 94.2 save percentage.

The game can be seen on TSN2 at 6:00pm PST.
