The Vancouver Canucks have not lost a game in regulation in three weeks.

The surging Canucks look to continue that run when they meet the St. Louis Blues for the first time this season Friday night at Scottrade Center.

Vancouver (11-8-2) won 4-2 at Minnesota on Wednesday to remain in the mix for the top spot in the competitive Northwest Division.

After going 5-8-0 over the first month of the season, the Canucks are 6-0-2 since falling 3-0 to Nashville on Nov. 1 in their most recent loss in regulation. The only time Vancouver has not earned two points during the run was in a pair of shootout losses to Edmonton.

"Were playing much harder - both the forwards and defensively," Vancouver defenseman Willie Mitchell said. "Just a little tighter system because of it."

Wednesday was Vancouver's first meeting with Minnesota since it beat the Wild 6-2 when tempers flared near the end of the contest, highlighted by Vancouver's Mattias Ohlund earning a four-game suspension for a two-handed slash of Minnesota's Mikko Koivu after Koivu elbowed him in the head.

Though retaliation from both sides was expected Wednesday, the game was physical, but only one fight broke out.

Captain Markus Naslund recorded his 11th career hat trick and Daniel and Henrik Sedin each had two assists for the Canucks, who are 7-2-0 on the road and will finish a three-game trip Friday.

Vancouver is 4-0-1 away from home since losing 3-2 to Detroit on Oct. 24 for it's last road loss in regulation.

"Our guys were focused and ready," Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault said. "They're focused on hockey."

Naslund, who has a team-leading 10 goals, has six in his last four contests and will look to extend his goal-scoring streak to five games Friday. He had three goals in four games against St. Louis last season.

Roberto Luongo could be back in net Friday for Vancouver after sitting out Wednesday's game. Luongo, who has a 2.49 goals-against average, is 5-5-0 with a 2.15 GAA versus the Blues.

Luongo was in goal for each game last season as Vancouver went 3-1-0 against St. Louis.

The Blues (11-8-0) return home after falling 3-0 at Detroit on Wednesday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for St. Louis and marked the third time the Blues were shut out this season.

"We didn't play hard enough, and that starts with me," St. Louis coach Andy Murray said.

St. Louis scored 12 goals during its four-game run and hadn't allowed more than two in each of its previous three contests prior to Wednesday.

Winger Brad Boyes, the Blues' leader with 12 goals, had his three-game goal-scoring streak snapped.

Manny Legace made a season-high 35 saves Wednesday for the Blues, but had his three-game winning streak come to an end. Legace, who is expected to be back in net Friday, won his last start against Vancouver, 2-1 on Jan. 26, 2006 while with Detroit.
