Juraj tallied his first point of the year in a 7-1 annihilation of Rochester, a very strong independent effort and an end-to-end rush resulted in a complete undressing of the Americans defense capped off by a well executed shovel past the goalie.

Analysis: Simek isn't big, but he's solid and strong. He's a fast and crafty skater, and he's able to make amazing maneuvers in tight situations. However his biggest asset is his ability to protect the puck and slip into the scoring areas. His slap-shot packs a lot of heft and his wrist shot is deceiving. He has the potential to be a physical top-six winger and a power-play threat if he can improve his consistency.

Scout Update: Much like P-C Labrie, Simek has found it difficult to find strong chemistry with another Moose player to find himself consistent linemates. However, his given offensive abilities and his creativity in the oppositions end is not the reason. Simply put Simek has yet to find consistency defensively in the professional ranks.  As a resule, he has been seeing less ice time despite being an offensive sparkplug. If Simek can put the complete package together by the end of the season, the Moose could theoretically roll three quality scoring lines. As it stands, his play in his own end is the only facet of his game holding him back, and all that it should take is time and experience.
