    London Life is proud to present the Canucks Future Stars contest! The winning minor hockey team will join the Vancouver Canucks on the ice at Rogers Arena during this season’s Superskills event on January 2, 2016.

    Is your Minor Hockey team looking to raise funds for their upcoming season? The annual SuperSkills fundraising opportunity is back for another season! Teams will receive $3.00 for every ticket sold after their first 20 sales, with the opportunity to win some fun prizes.


  • First Strides Application now open

    First Strides is back for another season! If you’re a registered BC Hockey initiation/novice player and you’re looking to have fun, make new friends and skate at Rogers Arena, sign up for this year’s Vancouver Canucks First Strides program. First Strides is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 8 and are registered in initiation or novice hockey in their association.


  • Minor Hockey Weekend date announcement

    Play where the pros play. The Save on Foods Minor Hockey Weekend is back. If you’re a registered a minor hockey team in BC and would like to play a full three period game at Rogers Arena with all the bells and whistles just like the pros, register for this year’s Save on Foods Minor Hockey Weekend.

  • Coaching Day in BC

    This year’s Tim Hortons Coaching Day in BC has been announced. On Sunday February 21st, The Canucks Centre for BC Hockey, BC Hockey, Hockey Canada and Tim Hortons are proud to host their annual Coaching Day in BC! This free one day Coaching seminar and demonstration is the perfect tool for coaches of all levels. This year’s topic will be building your drill book.


  • Sportsmanship Starts in the Stands Program

    Materials for the new parent educational program, Sportsmanship Starts in the Stands, are now available on the BC Hockey website. The program is designed to encourage positive parent behaviour in the rinks.


  • President’s Award for 2015 Announced

    Jack Edwards was selected as one of the winners of the “Every Kids Dream Contest” where he would skate with the Vancouver Canucks during their pre-game skate and also join them on the blue line for the national anthems.

    This past weekend the annual Silver Skate Awards were held in Sun Peaks, where Doug Lidster was on hand to give out awards to our deserving list of champions. Congratulations to all of the teams!

    If you are the coach of a young hockey player in PeeWee, Bantam or Midget who is truly valuable to your team we want to hear about them! The Pavel Bure Award rewards young BC hockey players who display leadership and sportsmanship both on and off the ice through demonstrating values such as integrity, passion, teamwork, and courage.


  • Registration opens for Female Jamboree

    This year’s Female Jamboree will take place at Burnaby 8 Rinks, March 20th – 22nd. The Canucks Female Jamboree provides an opportunity for over 150 female minor hockey players aged 5-13 to participate in a fun, non-competitive weekend of games and skills development.


  • Canucks have fun, prove worth at SuperSkills

    On Sunday, December 14th, The Canucks for Kids Fund SuperSkills, powered by Rogers, was held at Rogers Arena. It was an afternoon of family fun with the Vancouver Canucks as the players showcased their prowess in the annual skills competition.


  • Kassian, Vey lend a hand at First Strides

    A great time was had by all at Canucks First Strides, presented by Chevrolet, where 80 lucky initiation and novice hockey players, aged 6 - 8, were selected for an on-ice skills development and team building seminar, led by qualified BC Hockey instructors.

    In honour of the Russian Rocket, the Vancouver Canucks and BC Hockey announced the establishment of the Pavel Bure Award. The distinction will be awarded annually to Division 1 minor hockey players that exemplify integrity, passion, teamwork and courage.
