Derek Boyd
Director, Technology
Derek Boyd is the Director of Technology for Vancouver Canucks Sports & Entertainment. In this role Derek is responsible for all technology within the arena and for the organization. This includes the hardware and software systems, the audio systems for the arena, and the broadcast technical components.
Derek joined the Canucks after working most recently as the Director of Information Technology for the JOEY Restaurant Group from 2005-2012. In this capacity, Derek led various technology initiatives including implementing a mobile payment platform, smartphone application and kitchen metrics system. In addition, Derek has worked in various technology leadership roles for companies such as MICROS Systems and Lexis Nexis Applied Discovery.
Derek and his wife Martina currently reside in East Vancouver with their son Henry and daughter Zoe. Derek's favorite pastimes include spending time with his family, hiking, boating and playing tennis.
