Sports Celebrities Festival
The 2012 Sports Celebrities Festival promises to be one of Vancouver’s premier sports fundraising events of the year, featuring appearances by local sports heroes, Special Olympic BC Athletes and the entire Vancouver Canucks roster.
The Sports Celebrities Festival is an inspirational evening saluting the power of the human spirit. It is about people gaining confidence, acceptance and recognition, as Vancouver Canucks players, alumni, and management share an evening with Vancouver’s business elite.
The event pairs Special Olympics BC athletes with Vancouver Canucksplayers, giving them the opportunity to share stories, inspire one another and celebrate their achievements,courage and passion for sport. The evening kicks off with exciting interactive activities where guests can challenge the Canucks to table hockey, a game of Nintendo Wii, or have a photo taken with their favourite player. A live and silent auction follows, filled with unique items you won’t find anywhere else, live entertainment and, of course, a gourmet plated three-course meal.
The 2011 event raised $350,000 for the Canucks for Kids Fund and Special Olympics BC, helping to change the lives of many people in need. Please join us this year and be inspired by all of our athletes
