
Michael Doyle joined Canucks Sports & Entertainment at the beginning of the 2011.12 season in the capacity of Executive Vice President & Arena General Manager. In his role, Doyle works closely with Chief Operating Officer, CS&E and Alternate Governor, NHL, Victor de Bonis in undertaking responsibilities including initiating, developing and executing significant new business opportunities, and in creating and championing unique service strategies to enhance fan experience at Rogers Arena. Doyle is also responsible for overseeing the execution of strategic plans for event management, concert marketing and food and beverage, and for the expansion of various revenue opportunities inside and outside of Rogers Arena.
Previously, Doyle served as Vice President, Food & Beverage and Security Services as part of a ten-year career with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. In Toronto, he oversaw the F & B operations at four locations, including the Air Canada Centre, BMO Field, Ricoh Coliseum and the new Maple Leaf Square, supporting over 2000 employees and becoming an industry leader in culinary cuisine and customer service. Doyle also designed and opened Real Sports Bar and Grill, which was named North America's #1 sports bar by ESPN in its first year of operation. Michael’s extensive management experience spans over a number of industries, including acting as General Manager for Blackcomb Mountain and Area Manager at Disneyland Theme Park.
A native of British Columbia, Doyle played for the WHL Victoria Cougars Hockey Club from 1984-88 as a goaltender. He recently returned to his home province with wife Michelle.
