Join us this summer at the Canucks Hockey School, operated by Okanagan Hockey School. Each participant will be taught fundamental skills on and off the ice while focusing on our three main priorities; to have fun, play safe and make friends. This camp offers programs for all levels of play for kids aged 5-14 and is an experience you won’t forget.
Programs
Learn to Play
This camp is open to players born between 2005 and 2007. Requirements are to have skating ability, hockey equipment and a desire to have fun. This half day camp will teach the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun, structured environment. LEARN MORE
Regular Skaters Programs
Open to players born between 2000 and 2005. Age groups are the same as minor hockey groupings. We offer a 7-8 year old, 9-10 year old and an 11-12 year old group. This is a great skill development camp for players that have played organized hockey and want to improve their game. We work on the fundamentals of the game, which include skating, shooting, passing, stick handling and puck management. These are the building blocks that will improve and elevate your game. Elite Skaters Programs
Open to players born between 1998-2001. This program is designed for players at a higher level that are looking to increase their pace of play and learn how to execute at a higher tempo. These camps are designed for players playing at a Rep or Travel Team level and are serious about taking their game to the next level. LEARN MORE
Goaltender Program
The Integrated Goaltenders Program was developed by Okanagan Hockey School’s Head Goaltending Coach, Tyler Love. This program teaches goaltenders the building blocks to successful modern day goaltending, work ethic and attention to detail. In addition to the 2 ½ hours of ice time daily with their groups, they will receive 1 hour of daily goalie specific training. LEARN MORE
Defenseman Camp
Open to players born between 2000-2001. This position specific camp was developed by former NHL defenseman, Blake Wesley and former Canuck defenseman, Robert Dirk. You will learn all aspects of the defense position including, angling, positioning, stick checking, and shot blocking. This is a great camp for both forwards and defenseman. LEARN MORE
Battle and Compete Camp
Open to players born between 1998-2001. This is one of our most popular camps. Players will learn how to win battles for puck possession in tight spaces, as well as how to engage in contact in a safe and respectful manner. LEARN MORE
