As Supervisor of Engineering Services, Casey Dalgleish is responsible for supervising the day to day operations of three electricians and our CAD operator. He is also the telecommunications technician for building and project manages many of the new construction and renovation projects in the facility.

DAY TO DAY

Casey begins his day at 6:00 AM to prepare the work schedule for the electricians who arrive at 7:00 AM. At 7:00 AM he meets with the engineering staff to go over the work day. Casey will then return to his office to field emails and phone calls, pay bills, and order supplies. After this his days are often quite different. Some days Casey can be found meeting with contractors and suppliers, while other days he can be found in the field completing work.

On game days Casey is responsible for ensuring the all NHL scoring equipment and telephones are set up and working. This also includes the installation and testing of goal lights. He must then make himself avaiable for requests from both the home and visiting teams.

HITTING THE BOOKS

Casey holds a degree in drafting technology, with a fifth class power refridgeration ticket. He would also recommend that those interested in the field obtain both electrical and refridgeration tickets.

This position is suitable for a hard worker with a professional and understanding attitude. Personability and the ability to compromise are also a must. Casey also suggests that you “Work hard and never take short cuts in your work” and that you “finish the job that you start.” These are the keys to success in this industry.
