
In his current roles as Director of Facilities & In-House Productions for Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Paul Brettell is responsible for coordinating the crew of In-house, PPV and Canucks TV productions and directing the video board and PPV pre-season TV broadcasts. He also manages all related contracts for the broadcast facilities, oversees staff for the Canucks TV control room and liaises with the NHL and visiting broadcasters.
Brettell has had an extensive career in the broadcast industry beginning in 1980 in which he directed a variety of live events including Junior Hockey Tournaments, basketball, and in 1983 was part of the first crew to introduce live in-house productions at BC Place Stadium.
Prior to joining Canucks Sports & Entertainment in 1995, Brettell was a Freelance Producer, Writer and Editor for corporate and live mobile productions.
Born in England, Brettell grew up playing soccer at a competitive level and still plays in his spare time. Brettell enjoys writing music and playing the guitar and currently resides in White Rock with his wife and two children.
