Janeil Mackay is the Director of Retail and Consumer Product Marketing for Canucks Sports & Entertainment. In her current role, Mackay is responsible for the overall retail business, including: managing store operations, establishing best practices for the department as it relates to product sales, customer service and fan experience, training and coaching the retail team, and developing marketing plans to drive awareness and revenues for the Canucks Team Store.

Mackay joined the organization in 2007, after a remarkable 14-year career in retail; working for such retail chains as BCBG, Holt Renfrew, Peter Nygård and Helly Hansen. Her diverse career portfolio includes experience in retail operations, store design, fashion design, retail service training, people development and fashion marketing. She also owned and operated a fashion-event company, Glam Girl Productions, which helped in the planning of fashion shows, restaurant and spa launches and styling around the city. Mackay was recognized by the Fashion Design & Technology Program at Kwantlen University as one of the most successful alumni and was featured in the program’s promotional materials.

Mackay enjoys rollerblading through the city, skiing and going to the gym. She also enjoys cooking gourmet meals, and has opened and successfully run a restaurant in downtown Vancouver.
