Aaron Wilson is the Director of Finance for Canucks Sports & Entertainment. In his current role, he is responsible for all financial reporting for the organization, including league reporting for revenue-sharing purposes. He also oversees tax compliance, player insurance, budgeting and forecasting, and handles the financial aspects of the player contracts once a player has been signed.
Wilson joined the organization in 2005 after working as a Manager in the Auditing Department for the accounting firm KPMG in Vancouver, where he obtained his Chartered Accountant designation. While at KPMG, Wilson focused mainly on the audits of forestry and mining companies, which allowed him to travel all over BC, as well as to London, England, and Nunavut. In Nunavut, Wilson worked on the audit of the worlds most northern mine on Little Cornwallis Island in the Arctic Circle.
Wilson grew up in Tsawwassen where he began playing hockey at the early age of four. He spent several years coaching for the South Delta Minor Hockey Association Summer Hockey School. Wilson married his wife in her hometown of Sydney, Australia in 2006, and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
