SELF-INSTALLING SCREENSAVERS FOR PC
Follow these instructions to install any of the above screensavers that come in ZIP format onto your computer (PC-compatible only):
- Click on the link to download the ZIP file.
- Save the ZIP file to your local computer.
- Unzip the file using a program like WinZip, WinRAR, etc.
- Double-click the extracted EXE file and follow the simple installation instructions.
- After installation, the screensaver is set to be your computer's current screensaver. Double-click the desktop icon to preview.
- To uninstall the screensaver, go the Window's Control Panel and use the Add/Remove Programs.
All of the screensavers on this page are produced by the Vancouver Canucks
and are certified to be virus and ad-ware-free.
RSS PHOTO SCREENSAVERS
Some programs, like Google Photos Screensaver, allow you to display an RSS Photo Feed as your desktop screensaver. The following instructions are to set-up the Vancouver Canucks "Believe in Blue" Photo RSS stream in Google Photos Screensaver, but can be applied to any other RSS photo stream.
- Install the Google Photos Screensaver application.
- Right-click your computer's Desktop and select Properties.
- Click on the Screen Saver tab.
- Make sure that Google Photos Screensaver is selected as your screensaver in the drop-down list.
- Click on "Settings".
- Make sure the check box is selected next to "Photo feeds", and click on "Configure".
- Right-click on the following RSS link and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" (depending on your browser).
- Paste this RSS feed into the top text field of the Google Photos Screensaver's configuration dialogue box, and click on "Add".
- Click "Done", and you are all set!
