
In his current role as Vice President and General Manager, Arena Operations, Harvey Jones is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the arena facility and equipment, the management of all event staff, the contracting and administration of all entertainment events booked in the building, and the administration of major contracts for food and beverage services, ticketing, security, and production labour. Jones also manages all capital improvement projects for Rogers Arena.
After an extensive career in Senior Project Management positions for major international construction projects, Jones joined Canucks Sports & Entertainment in 1994 as part of the Project Management Team overseeing the construction of Rogers Arena. On completion of construction in 1995 he assumed the position of Arena Operations Controller and three years later moved into his current role.
Jones is an avid golfer and hockey player. He has played for the Trail Smoke Eaters Junior Hockey Team, and as a member of various senior hockey teams in Vancouver. Jones is married to Sofia, and has three children; Jordan, Jocelyn and Martin. His youngest son Martin is a goalie prospect who was recently signed by the LA Kings.
