Some good, some bad, some ugly - yes, it's time for another batch of letters. Here we go! It's worth repeating that under no circumstances will we take suggestions for the coaching staff to the team office, so spare the letters regarding trade proposals, etc... But remember, if you have something to say, please, get it off your chest!
Waiting on the wallpaperWell I know it's not your job to have the pic ready, but for those of us who like to have the wallpaper for the team schedule it would be nice to get it on or near the end of the month. Maybe I am just a little impatient, but really is handy, and it's allowed in the work place :) If you could get the people whose job it is to get this wallpaper available to upload, that would be great. We would love to get the wallpaper to you before the end of the month but with the crazy hockey schedule, sometimes it just gets too busy and the wallpaper slips under the radar. Where did all the blogs go?Please put the blogs back on the homepage. I am too busy to go searching through the new site. Who cares if some are garbage. At least they are up to date. You should try banning the complainers, let them go elsewhere. -Rob, who is really busy ed: Which blogs are you referring to? Whenever we have a blog, we do highlight it on the homepage but I don't remember ever having blogs persistently on the homepage. We can do a better job of giving them attention on the homepage though so we'll work on that moving forward. But for now, you can read all of our blogs here. |

Missing people reportYou should get the webmaster/Canucks liaison person to put in bios for Thomas Gradin, Harold Snepts and Lars Lindgren, under the 'coaches and staff' section, since the trio played prominent roles with the Canucks. Also, there's a new scout, Inge Hammmarstrom, acc. to the Vancouver Province, so he should be added to the 'coaches and staff' section. -Don, the Canucks staff aficionado As for the scouts, you're entirely right, we missed that one and we will update shortly. |
Left in the coldi am a canucks fan and am in mexico for the winter. there are thousands of out of country fans and we would like to listen to the game if not be able to watch it. i tried the link to watch and it said not available in this service area. even though we have super highspeed. not sure why not. and also 1040 radio? is there any suggestions to get the game without buying a satilite? -Jim, enjoying the warm winter but missing the ice ed: Are you trying to watch the game on Canucks.com? We are currently not showing games except for the preseason games from this year and those were limited to local residents only unfortunately because of agreements with the broadcaster and NHL. However, there is a listen live link on Canucks.com for every game where you can listen to live streaming of all games. It is on the top right hand corner of the homepage. Otherwise, you can also try Team 1040's website, which will also have live audio stream. |
Counting down to game timeLOVE the Canucks website!!! You know what would be REALLY GREAT! Well, since u asked, I will tell you... 80% of the time that i come onto the site is to find out game TIME and Game Location. I know i dont represent everyone but still what would be EASY and great to see is COUNTDOWN clock to game time (or just game time) and a clear indicator of WHERE the next game is going to be played! -SuperDave ed: You're actually not the first person to come up with that idea, which means you're not alone, however at the time, we don't have any plans to implement a countdown to every game. We won't entirely veto that idea but it's not currently on our to do list. Maybe we can do more countdowns to significant games or events? But we already have the next game information (game time and location) on either our schedule page and it also comes in a calendar view or it's on the Canucks.com homepage on the top right hand corner box, where you can toggle, next game and last game information. |
Canucks biggest rival
Who do you think the Canucks biggest rival has been since last year (playoffs included) and the beginning of this year?
I would say the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago and Vancouver have had some awesome games over the past year including the playoffs even though Vancouver lost. Whenever they play the players bring out the best in eachother. There is always big hits, fights, goals and everyone is always into the game. There is just such a buzz whenever Vancouver and Chicago play against each other.

People now know
Hats off to Henrik Sedin to kicking a$$ while Daniel has been injured. I think finally the haters calling him and his brother "the sisters" will now shut up. Henrik is tied for 9th in points (23 p in 21 gms), and is only 1 point back from 5th! I can't wait till Dan gets back- things are going to get good!
