In the Details - The Henrik
Not many people can turn their grade school doodling into a career, but Tony Harris did just that.

Not many people can turn their grade school doodling into a career, but Tony Harris did just that.

From drawing Tony Esposito too many times to count, to becoming the official artist of the NHLPA, Harris has been a full-time painter for 20-years; recently the Vancouver Canucks commissioned the artist to do a painting for Henrik Sedin to mark his 1,000th NHL game played, a feat accomplished on March 12th, 2014 in Winnipeg.

The piece, which took 75 hours and a few sleepless nights to complete, was given to Henrik during a ceremony this past Sunday, March 23rd, when the Canucks hosted the Buffalo Sabres. It’s safe to assume it’s now hanging proudly somewhere within the Sedin household and will remain there for years to come.

Tony recently stopped by Canucks Headquarters to discuss his latest work of art and he revealed a few insider secrets about The Henrik.
