Comet of the Week

Joacim Eriksson, or “GI Joacim” as he is known in Utica, went 2-0-0 with a 1.45 goals-against average and a .946 save-percentage in two starts this past weekend, earning him Comet of the Week honors. The product of Gavle, Sweden has been on quite a roll since mid-December, going 12-5-1 with a 2.06 GAA and a .930 SV% along with three shutouts. It’s no question that since Eriksson found his groove on the smaller ice, his play has helped the Comets turn their season around.

Coming Up…

The Comets return home on Wednesday night as they host the San Antonio Rampage (23-23-3-5) before the Adirondack Phantoms (22-27-0-3) come to town on Friday night. On Sunday, the Comets head to Bridgeport to take on the Sound Tigers (25-24-1-4).
