Canucks auctioning off Dice & Ice ugly sweaters
…Funds raised to benefit the Canucks For Kids Fund
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Fans interested in getting one of the popular “ugly” holiday sweaters worn by the Vancouver Canucks can bid now on through auction.nhl.com. The Vancouver Canucks players donned the “ugly” holiday sweaters as part of the 14th annual Canucks for Kids Fund Dice & Ice Benefit, presented by Scotiabank, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. They’re also featured in the team’s holiday cards this season.
The “ugly” sweaters are available for fans to bid on until Tuesday, December 17 at 11:59pm. Bids begin at $50 with increments of $10 plus shipping costs. Each sweater will be delivered with an accompanying photo of the player wearing the sweater and description. The sweaters will arrive by Christmas for the winning bid.
The Dice & Ice Benefit was a big success this year, with early estimations indicating that over $500,000 in net proceeds were raised from the event to benefit children in BC through the Canucks for Kids Fund.
