Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned defenceman Yannick Weber to the AHL Utica Comets.

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned defenceman Yannick Weber to the AHL Utica Comets.

Weber, 25, dressed in 10 games for Vancouver in 2013.14, collecting nine hits. He has appeared in 125 career NHL games, notching 32 points (5-27-32) and 52 penalty minutes.

The Morges, Switzerland native was originally selected 73rd overall in the third round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens.
