Canucks re-sign centre Jordan Schroeder
Vancouver, B.C. -Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have re-signed centre Jordan Schroeder.
Schroeder, 22, split the 2012.13 season with the Canucks and AHL Chicago Wolves. In his NHL debut season, he posted nine points (3-6-9) and four penalty minutes in 31 games played. He finished fourth on the Wolves in goal scoring with 12 goals and added 21 assists in 42 games.
On the international stage, the Lakeville, MN, native has appeared in three World Junior Championships. In 2010, he registered eight points (3-5-8) in seven games as a member of the gold-medal winning Team USA. His 27 career points (20-7-27) at the WJC is the most by an American all-time (Jeremy Roenick previously held the record with 25). He also earned bronze (2008) and silver (2007) medals at the World Junior U18 Championships.
Schroeder was selected by Vancouver 22nd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
