The Canucks schedule is highlighted by a number of marquee match-ups at Rogers Arena this season including: the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, October 12, the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, November 2, the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, January 7, the Heritage Classic versus the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, March 2 and the New York Rangers on Tuesday, April 1. This season will also mark the first time in franchise history that the Canucks will visit Winnipeg since the Jets relocated. The NHL will adjourn from February 9 to 25 for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
The 2013.14 NHL season will take on a new look with the 30 teams reconfigured into a four-division system. The Western Conference will be comprised of two seven-team divisions while the Eastern Conference will be split into two eight-team divisions. Vancouver will play in the same division as Anaheim, Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Jose. The new scheduling matrix will ensure that all 30 teams play in all 30 arenas at least once a season.
With the new alignment comes a new schedule format as well. Within the Canucks division, Vancouver with play 3 Home/2 Away against two teams, 2 Home/3 Away against two teams and 2 Home/2 Away against one team. When playing other Western Conference teams, Vancouver will suit up for three games against each team (2 Home/1 Away versus four teams, 1 Home/2 Away versus three teams). The Canucks will play one home and one away game each season against all Eastern Conference teams as well, giving Canucks fans the opportunity to see the stars of each NHL team on an annual basis.DATES TO REMEMBER:

The Canucks will play a total of 16 back-to-back series in 2013.14 with ten series taking place on the road, three at home and three home and road splits. The Canucks will go on 15 road trips and play 15 home stands. Vancouver’s longest road trip will consist of seven away games from October 15 to October 25. The Canucks longest home stand ranges six games from November 14 to November 26. The busiest night of the week will be Saturday with 15 games, followed closely by 14 games on Thursday as well as Sunday.PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE:
The Vancouver Canucks will play a total of six pre-season games, beginning on September 16th versus the San Jose Sharks at 7:00pm.
