Nicklas Jensen’s Swedish Elite League club, AIK, has just 5 games remaining in their season and it’s looking likely, according to Elliot Pap, that the 2011 first round pick will be dressing for the Chicago Wolves sooner than later. Read
Rapid Fire
- The Chicago Wolves blanked Peoria 3-0 Saturday for their 500th win in club history. Darren Haydar had three points, while Andrew Ebbett and Kevin Connauton each picked up a pair. Sunday was a different story with the Wolves falling 2-1 to Rockford.
- Brendan Gaunce continued his red-hot play collecting three helpers as his Belleville Bulls were a perfect 2-0 on the weekend. The centre has 49 points on the season, including 14 in his last 11.
- Staying in the OHL, Evan McEneny eclipsed the 30 point barrier with three assists on the weekend for the Kitchener Rangers. His teammate, Frank Corrado picked up a pair of helpers himself for 39 points on the season
- Nicklas Jensen scored his 16th of the year in a losing cause as his AIK squad lost 5-3 to fellow Canuck propect Henrik Tommernes’ Frolunda club.
