The Goods: Canucks buck Wild
Canucks buck Wild, continue winning streak
Kevin Bieksa and Jannik Hansen each had a goal and Roberto Luongo stopped 25 shots as the Vancouver Canucks won their sixth straight game beating the Minnesota Wold 2-1 Tuesday night at Rogers Arena.
Bieksa's goal, his third in four games, came via the power play 11:33 into the first period and it remained a 1-0 game until Jannik Hansen netted his third score of the season midway through the second frame. Hansen's was on the receiving end of some deft passing from Mason Raymond and Keith Ballard; tic-tac-toe at its best.
Luongo, who had 16 saves after 40 minutes, stopped nine of 10 shots in the third, Devin Setoguchi was the lone Wildling? Wildener? Wilder? to find the back of the net. When the smoke cleared the Canucks had their second win versus the Wild in six nights and 11th consecutive against Minnesota overall.
