Team Gray shuts out Team Blue in Canucks scrimmage
Vancouver, B.C. – Team Gray defeated Team Blue 3-0 at the Canucks Open Scrimmage at Rogers Arena tonight.
Mason Raymond tallied a hat-trick, recording two goals in the first period (8:19 and 10:37) and his final tally in the second period (5:14), while Jordan Schroeder collected two assists and Jannik Hansen recorded a single assist. Cory Schneider stopped all 33 Team Blue shots to secure the shutout.
Following a 12-minute first period, 13-minute second period and 15-minute third period, the Canucks Scrimmage concluded with a shootout. Kevin Bieksa, Bill Sweatt and Max Lapierre registered shootout goals for the Team Gray shootout win while Alex Burrows was the lone Team Blue shooter to beat Schneider.
The combined attendance for the Canucks Scrimmages Jan. 16th and Jan. 17th was 19,127. The Vancouver Canucks will host the Anaheim Ducks Saturday, January 19th at Rogers Arena at 7:00 p.m.
