Team Blue defeats Team Gray in Canucks scrimmage
Vancouver, B.C. – Team Blue earned a 2-1 victory over Team Gray at the Canucks Open Scrimmage at Rogers Arena tonight.
Henrik Sedin opened the scoring for Team Blue off a tipped Alex Edler shot. Andrew Ebbett collected the tying goal for Team Gray before Alex Edler registered the game-winner late in the third period.
Following two 10-minute periods and a 15-minute third period, the Canucks Scrimmage concluded with a shootout. Alex Edler, Daniel Sedin and Chris Higgins recorded shootout goals for Team Blue while Roberto Luongo stopped all Team Gray shooters but Andrew Ebbett and Zack Kassian, for the Team Blue victory.
The Vancouver Canucks will host a Scrimmage again at Rogers Arena, Thursday, January 17th beginning at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening to the public at 6:00 p.m. For more information on accessing complimentary tickets to the scrimmage, go to canucks.com/scrimmage.
