Canucks release 2013 regular season schedule & national broadcast schedule
VANCOUVER, B.C.,— The Vancouver Canucks, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, released their 2013 regular season schedule and national broadcast schedule today. The Canucks regular season opens with back-to-back weekend home games beginning Saturday, January 19th at 7:00 pm versus the Anaheim Ducks followed by a visit from the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday, January 20th at 6:00 pm at Rogers Arena.
The Canucks first appearance on national television is scheduled for opening night on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada. In total eight games will air on Hockey Night in Canada with another six scheduled for broadcast on TSN. The club’s national television schedule concludes with a game on Saturday, April 27th at 7:00 pm Pacific at the Edmonton Oilers.
The Canucks schedule features 18 Northwest division matchups including five games each versus Calgary and Edmonton and four meetings against Colorado and Minnesota. All other Western Conference opponents will faceoff for three games versus Vancouver this season.

SCHEDULE NOTABLES:
Seven back-to-back series are featured in the Canucks schedule including two at home, four on the road and one home/road split. Nine home stands and nine road trips make up the regular season schedule. The two longest home stands last four games with the first beginning February 9 – 17th and the second starting March 14 – 19th. A five-game road trip marks the longest period the Canucks will be away from Rogers Arena from April 10 – 18th. The busiest day of the week is Saturday with 10 games scheduled followed by eight games played on Thursday.
