I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news.

The good news first.

We won our pre-season game last night 6-1 against the Rockford IceHogs. I faced a whopping nine shots and made a whopping nine saves. We played a really good game and I had good communication with my defencemen, but I didn’t have much to do. I just stood there, being cold, trying to entertain myself.

Now the bad news.

I lost my wallet last night and this morning, of course, I was pulled over. It’s the first time I’ve ever been pulled over and the first time I’ve ever been without my wallet. I tried to tell him that I play for the Wolves, I’m Swedish, I’m a goalie, I’m an idiot, but nothing worked. I don’t think he believed that this was the first time I didn’t have my wallet with me, he probably hears that all the time.

So now I have a speeding ticket to pay (it’s a small one, not like I’m Lightning McQueen on the road or anything) and I don’t have a wallet. Luckily we got our per diem this morning, so I had money for lunch.

Someone asked me today if I know where I lost it. If I knew where I lost it, it wouldn’t be lost – sheesh! But I think I lost it in my parking garage.

Now I’m at home, sitting by the phone, patiently waiting for someone to call and tell me they found my wallet and that all my bank accounts aren’t empty. Otherwise I’ll have to call and cancel all my cards and get a new driver’s licence and go to the library to get a new card too. And I was one stamp away from a free sandwich on my sandwich card! Brutal!

Tomorrow is another practice day, then we play again Saturday in Milwaukee. I’m playing the whole game, well unless I get pulled – quick, someone knock on wood for me please! I'll have time to blog again tomorrow, so check back for the next episode of Where The Heck Is Eddie Lack's Wallet?!?
