Florida Everblades 2 @ Kalamazoo Wings 0 – Game 1 of Eastern Conference Final
Florida leads best-of-seven series 1-0
Despite firing 34 shots on Everblades goaltender Pat Nagle on Friday night, the Wings could not find their way onto the scoreboard, dropping Game 1 of the ECHL Eastern Conference Final, 2-0. Wings netminder Riley Gill made 36 saves in the loss, which was only the third loss of the post-season for Gill and the Wings. Kalamazoo was down 2-0 after forty minutes, and peppered Nagle in the third period with 17 shots, but the rookie goaltender was too good on the way to his second shutout of these playoffs.
