Kalamazoo leads best-of-seven series 3-0
The best of seven series shifted to Charleston, South Carolina, on Wednesday night for Game 3. Three different goal scorers and some great goaltending sparked the Wings to a 3-0 win, and a 3-0 stranglehold on the second round series. Justin Taylor, Trent Daavettila, and Nick Sirota tallied for the Wings, while Riley Gill made 30 saves for the shutout.

-Darren Archibald finished plus-1 and recorded one shot on goal
-Prab Rai did not play due to an undisclosed injury

South Carolina Stingrays 4 vs. Kalamazoo Wings 1 – Game 4 of Eastern Conference Semi-Final
Kalamazoo leads best-of-seven series 3-1
All good things must come to an end, and the Kalamazoo Wings found that out Friday night dropping Game 4 of the series, 4-1. The Wings were riding an impressive six-game winning streak, dating back to game two of the opening series, outscoring their opponents 25-10 during that span. Nick Sirota scored the lone goal for the Wings, his seventh of the playoffs, and Riley Gill made 17 saves in the losing effort. The Wings outshot the Stingrays 33-21, including 12-6 in the final frame.

Kalamazoo Wings 5 vs. South Carolina Stingrays 1 – Game 5 of Eastern Conference Semi-Final
Kalamazoo wins best-of-seven series 4-1
After having their six game winning streak snapped on Friday night, the Wings got right back to business Saturday, taking a 5-1 win over South Carolina, and winning the best-of-seven series 4-1. Sam Ftorek led the way for the Wings with two goals, while Darryl Bootland, Trent Daavettila, and Justin Taylor also found the back of the net for Kalamazoo. Riley Gill made 31 saves in net, including a whopping 16 in the first period alone.

Coming up...
The Wings will take on the Florida Everblades in the Eastern Conference Final. The series opens up on Friday for Game 1 in Kalamazoo. After Game 2 on Saturday night, the series will shift to Florida for Games 3, 4, and 5 (if necessary). The Everblades took three of the five meetings over the Wings in the regular season, including a 9-3 thumping on March 2nd. The two victories for Kalamazoo came in extra time, one in overtime, and one in a shootout. Both teams have been red hot during the playoffs as the Everblades have only lost once, while the Wings have dropped only two.
