Canucks acquire Samuel Pahlsson from Columbus Blue Jackets
In exchange for Taylor Ellington and two 2012 fourth round draft selections.

Pahlsson, 34, has registered 11 points (2-9-11) and 22 penalty minutes with Columbus this season. He led all Blue Jackets forwards in shorthanded time on ice per game (2:24) and faceoff wins (429). The 6’0”, 202 lbs. centreman has collected 193 points (66-127-193) in 779 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins, Anaheim Ducks (formerly Mighty Ducks of Anaheim), Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets.
Pahlsson was a member of the 2007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks and 2006 Olympic Gold medal-winning Team Sweden.
The Ange, Sweden, native was originally selected 176th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.
