Canucks Report: Ballard skates, Eddy okay

BALLARD SKATES, EDDY'S FINE
With a two-day break ahead, it was a festive and happy morning skate for the Canucks, who had a full skate this morning joined by Keith Ballard and Alex Edler.
Ballard hasn't played since Saturday when the team was in Toronto and sat out the last two home games against Minnesota and Detroit, respectively with back spasms.
"I skated once on my own yesterday and this morning's the most I've done since Saturday," said Ballard following the skate.
"I'm healthy to play but if they want me to play, that's another story."
Alex Edler also participated in the morning skate after leaving at the 14:45 mark of the third period against the Red Wings Wednesday with back spasms.
"I had a good day yesterday with some treatment and I feel much better," said Edler.
"We're pleasantly surprised with how Alex Edler came in today - he skated this morning and felt alright so he'll be a game time decision," said head coach Alain Vigneault.
Both players feel they're ready to dress tonight against the Calgary Flames.
In two previous meetings between the Northwest rivals, Canucks beat the Flames 5-1 in both games - once at home and once on the road. Calgary is coming off a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings last night before flying to Vancouver.
