Canucks launch 'Heart of a Canuck' local heroes program

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks announced today the launch of ‘Heart of a Canuck: Local Heroes’, a season long initiative to celebrate the ‘Heart of A Canuck’ - Courage, Honour, Humility, Integrity & Passion.
Throughout the season long celebration, the Canucks will share the many stories of Courage, Honour, Humility, Integrity & Passion displayed by their players, alumni, community partners and loyal fans on Canucks TV, Canucks.com and in-arena. In celebration of loyal Canucks fans, the Local Heroes program encourages fans to nominate a local hero who has displayed the Heart of a Canuck from their communities across British Columbia. Each month, a nominated hero will be chosen and provided the opportunity to attend a Canucks game.
Fans can submit their nominations on Canucks.com by submitting a photo and a text entry of 500 words or less, showing why each nominee deserves to be recognized as a local hero.
Submissions will be ongoing throughout the season with the first Local Hero to be celebrated in the month of November.
