Canucks on national television 25 times during 2011.12 season

Season opener, October 6th versus Pittsburgh to be seen on Hockey Night in Canada

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks in conjunction with the National Hockey League and their national television partners announced today that the Canucks will appear on national television 25 times during the 2011.12 season. The Vancouver Canucks and Rogers Sportsnet will announce the Vancouver Canucks 2011.12 regional television schedule at a later date.

The Canucks first appearance on national television will be on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada on October 6th when they play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins in their home opener at Rogers Arena.

In total, the Canucks play 15 games that will be broadcast on Hockey Night in Canada and an additional ten games that will air on TSN. Three pre-season games will also be featured on national television: Thursday, September 22 at Edmonton at 6:00pm PST on TSN as well as Saturday, September 24 versus Anaheim at 7:00pm PST and Saturday, October 1 versus Edmonton at 7:00pm PST on CBC.

The club’s national television schedule concludes on Saturday, April 7th versus the Edmonton Oilers on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada.

The Canucks complete broadcast schedule, outlining games on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific, Rogers Sportsnet Vancouver Hockey, TSN and CBC will be announced in the near future. Every Canucks game, including pre-season, can be heard on Team 1040 AM Sports Radio.
