Vancouver Canucks Alumni Dave Babych and Alex Mitchell Director of Community Partnerships from the Vancouver Canucks, were on hand at the BC hockey AGM in Penticton, BC to hand out the annual Vancouver Canucks Silver Skate Awards. Working in partnership with the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey and BC Hockey, This award is given to BC Hockey minor hockey teams who have won their 2010 -2011 BC Hockey Championships. Teams from all over the province sent representatives to be on hand to receive their awards at the AGM luncheon. BC Hockey President Shannon Bell was also on hand to say a few words of congratulations to all of this year’s winners before making their way on stage to receive their awards.

The Vancouver Canucks Silver Skate awards are not only awarded to teams who have won their provincial championships but also to teams who have shown team work, perseverance and excellent sportsmanship throughout the hockey season.
