Canucks re-assign Sauve and Tanev to Manitoba

Sauve, 21, has appeared in 37 games for the Moose this season, recording 12 points (3-9-12) and 19 penalty minutes in his rookie AHL season. He has played in five games with the Canucks, registering nine hits. The 6’3”, 220 lbs., native of Montreal, Quebec was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.
Tanev, 21, has collected 9 points (1-8-9) in 39 games with Manitoba in his rookie AHL season. He played in 29 games with Vancouver, collecting an assist, 10 hits and 32 blocked shots. The 6’2’’ Toronto, ON, native was signed as a free agent on March 31, 2010.
