Canucks recall Evan Oberg

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that defenceman Evan Oberg has been recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Oberg, 23, has played 34 games with Manitoba this season registering 10 points (6-4-10) including a team best four power play goals and also has 24 penalty minutes. In two games played with the Canucks in 2009.10 he registered an even plus/minus rating.

The 6’0”, 177 lbs. Forestburg, AB, native was originally signed by Vancouver as a free agent April 7, 2009.
