Fans can experience 40 years of Canucks memories in new interactive exhibit
Visit section 121 to see one of two new interactive fan exhibits launched at Rogers Arena this season.
Vancouver, B.C., February 7, 2011 – Canucks Sports & Entertainment, together with Rogers Communications Inc. (Rogers), announced today that the latest interactive exhibit, ‘Forever Canucks powered by Rogers’ will be open for Canucks fans to enjoy beginning tonight when the Canucks host the Ottawa Senators at Rogers Arena. ‘Forever Canucks powered by Rogers’ is an interactive exhibit that adds to the ultimate fan experience at Rogers Arena, while displaying some of the Canucks most storied moments in 40 years of history.
It is located in Section 121 and is one of two new interactive fan exhibits launched at Rogers Arena this season. The ‘Hall of Heroes powered by Rogers’ display was unveiled in December. Canucks fans can now relive their favourite Canucks memories with the touch of their finger. Fans will experience all the heart-stopping goals and exhilarating plays on five interactive touch screens. The exhibit also features a 10-foot high historical graphic display and a display case containing Canucks historical artifacts from the last 40 years.
Fans have the opportunity to select favourite moments they would like included in the exhibit by voting on Canucks.com. Fans can log on to the ‘Forever Canucks’ interactive timeline on Canucks.com and vote for their all-time favourite players, moments, games, goals, hits, saves and more.
“Canucks fans love to celebrate their connection with the team and the game of hockey. We’re excited to play a role in bringing their memories to life with the ‘Forever Canucks’ kiosk at Rogers Arena,” said Rogers Vice-President for B.C., Gord Nelson. “The ‘Hall of Heroes’ exhibit is a huge hit at Rogers Arena and now fans get to experience 40 years of their team. They even get to be part of making history by casting their vote.”
Rogers customers will also be able to enjoy Canucks content from both exhibit experiences on their mobile devices - through an exclusive section within the ‘Free Canucks App, powered by Rogers’. The new App was re-launched in December and is already a fan favourite. It is available on various iPhone and BlackBerry devices and on Android phones soon.
The App delivers live box scores, video interviews with Canucks players and coaches, team news from Canucks.com, as well as live behind-the-scenes video from practices, game-day skates and press conferences. It also gives one-tap access to statistics, standings, schedules, message boards, player cards and more.
