World Autism Awareness Day
The Canucks Autism Network (CAN) recognized World Autism Awareness Day on April 1, 2010 at a rally on the lawn and surrounding streets of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
The Canucks Autism Network (CAN) recognized World Autism Awareness Day on April 1, 2010 with a rally on the lawn and surrounding streets of the Vancouver Art Gallery. The event featured an official reading of the City of Vancouver Proclamation recognizing April 1st as World Autism Awareness Day and the Province Proclamation proclaiming April as Autism Awareness Month in BC.
"World Autism Awareness Day shines a light on autism as a growing global health crisis," said Jodi Simkin, Executive Director of CAN. "We want to help raise awareness so that individuals with autism are welcomed in their communities and recognized for their unique talents and abilities."
