Canucks recall four

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that defenceman Evan Oberg and forwards Guillaume Desbiens, Mario Bliznak and Sergei Shirokov have been recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Oberg, 22, has played 70 games with Manitoba this season leading all Moose defencemen in scoring, registering 26 points (3-23-26) and 64 penalty minutes.

In five playoff games with Manitoba this year, he recorded two points (1-1-2) and four penalty minutes.

 

Desbiens, 25, played 67 games with Manitoba this season registering 34 points (19-15-34) and 144 penalty minutes.

He led the Moose in scoring in the playoffs this year, recording nine points (3-6-9) and 17 penalty minutes in six games played.

 

Bliznak, 23, played in 76 games with Manitoba this season registering 28 points (13-15-28) and 40 penalty minutes.

In six playoff games with Manitoba this year, he recorded three points (2-1-3) and two penalty minutes.

 

Shirokov, 24, played in 76 games with Manitoba this season and was second on the team in scoring, registering 45 points (22-23-45) and 32 penalty minutes.

In six playoff games with Manitoba this year, he recorded two points (0-2-2) and four penalty minutes.
