Here's a look at some of the key numbers in Linden's fine career:
1 -- Linden's rank on the Canucks' all-time list of games played. Linden put on a Vancouver jersey 1,140 times in the regular season, the last against Calgary on April 5, after which he was given a standing ovation by the sellout crowd at GM Place. Even the visiting Calgary Flames came over to shake his hand.
2 -- Goals scored by Linden on June 14, 1994, against the New York Rangers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. Linden had both of Vancouver's goals in a 3-2 loss to the Rangers -- the only time in his 19 NHL seasons that Linden made it to the Final.
4 -- Three-goal games by Linden as a Canuck (he also had one with Montreal). He had three goals against Minnesota on Nov. 17, 1989, and against Buffalo five days later; three against Edmonton on Dec. 20, 1990, and his last three-goal performance against Colorado on March 9, 1996.
5 -- Game-winning goals for the Canucks in the Playoffs. The last came in Game 7 of the Canucks' first-round series against Dallas on April 23, 2007, when he broke a 1-1 tie with a third-period goal in Vancouver's 4-1 victory against the Stars that moved the Canucks into the second round. He also had the winning goal in Game 4 of that series.
6 -- Seasons that Linden served as the Canucks' captain, from 1991-92 until 1996-97. He was named captain at the age of 21, the youngest player in franchise history to wear the "C." He was succeeded by Mark Messier in 1997.
6 -- Most points by Linden in a game. He had three goals and three assists for six points in the Canucks' 7-4 victory against Edmonton at the Pacific Coliseum on Dec. 20, 1990.
7 -- Shootout goals by Linden, in 12 attempts. His 58.3 percent success ratio is one of the best in NHL history. He had five shootout goals in nine attempts in 2007-08.
8 -- Seasons for the Canucks in which Linden played in every game. The last came in 2005-06, when he took part in all 82 games, scoring seven goals and finishing with 16 points.

His 34 goals, 61 assists and 118 games played in the postseason are also team records.

He played 107 as a New York Islander after being traded by Vancouver in 1998, 107 with Montreal after being dealt to the Canadiens by the Islanders and 28 with Washington before being reacquired by the Canucks from the Capitals on Nov. 10, 2001.
