Barry Smith and Mike Kelly Relieved
Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis today announced that Assistant Coaches, Barry Smith and Mike Kelly have been relieved of their duties.

Barry Smith has been with the organization for nine years, first joining the club as a minor league Assistant Coach in 1999. Most recently Smith completed his fifth season with Vancouver as an Assistant and has also worked in Syracuse, Kansas City and Manitoba with the Canucks organization.

Mike Kelly has spent the past three years in the Canucks organization. Prior to being named an Assistant Coach with the club in 2006, Kelly spent one season as an Assistant with the Canucks AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose.
