The BC Cancer Foundation’s Westside Cycling Classic, presented by the Airey Group, is a scenic 40-km community ride through the UBC endowment lands on Vancouver’s Westside and is open to all recreational cyclists aged four and up.
MLA Sindi Hawkins, who along with Premier Gordon Campbell is an honorary chair of the event, said, "I am a huge fan and thrilled that Trevor Linden is a part of the BC Cancer Foundation's Westside Cycling Classic. He has always given back to his community and I urge all hockey and sports fans to join Trevor in supporting leading cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency. "
Event registrations are expected to fill up quickly with the news of Linden’s participation, so cyclists are advised to register and get fundraising tips at: www.cycleforcancer.com or by phoning 604-696-BIKE (2453) as soon as possible. The top adult fundraiser in the community ride will win a deluxe trip for two to the 2008 Tour de France.
