| Last month, Canuck Alumni Cliff Ronning was joined by British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell, Canucks Team Owner Francesco Aquilini, BC Hockey President Al Berg, 2010 Legacies Now CEO Bruce Dewar, and a lucky handful of BC minor hockey players at GM Place to launch the 2008 ‘Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament’. Supported by the Province of BC, 2010 Legacies Now, BC Hockey, and the Vancouver Canucks, the Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament is a province-wide celebration of healthy living, amateur sport, and community spirit. Ronning had this to say about the event; “This is great opportunity to support minor hockey in BC and celebrate the spirit of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.” The 2007 Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament involved 216 tournaments and 43,000 young hockey players in 95 communities throughout BC. Heading into its 6th year, the 2008 Tournament is sure to be an even bigger success.
