Canucks Announce Second Annual Silver Skate Award Winners

VANCOUVER, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks and Canucks Centre for BC Hockey, along with BC Hockey, are proud to announce the winners of the second annual Vancouver Canucks Silver Skate Awards. The Silver Skate Awards are given to BC Hockey Minor hockey teams who have displayed team work, perseverance and hard work over the duration of the 2006-07season.

The Canucks Centre for BC Hockey is supported by the Canucks for Kids Fund, which operates in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks, BC Hockey and Hockey Canada. The Canucks Centre for BC Hockey focuses on grassroots hockey development of players, coaches, officials, administrators and parents throughout British Columbia. The main objective of the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey is to strengthen the bond between the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Club and the 60,000+ hockey players and 30,000+ hockey volunteers in the province. Working closely with the hockey leaders throughout British Columbia, the office runs a number of programs that benefit every hockey enthusiast within the province.
