Canucks Re-Assign Tommi Santala To Manitoba For Conditioning
| Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that centre Tommi Santala has been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL on a conditioning assignment.
Santala, 27, has played in ten games this season for the Canucks, recording one point (0-0-1) and 12 penalty minutes. The 6'3", 210 lbs centre missed 22 games due to a knee injury.
The Helsinki, Finland native was acquired along with a fifth round draft pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick in 2007 from the Atlanta Thrashers on June 14, 2006.
