Canucks Re-Assign Alexander Edler And Lee Goren

Vancouver, B.C. - Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that defenceman Alexander Edler and forward Lee Goren have been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Edler, 20, has played a total of 12 games with the Canucks recording his career first NHL goal and assist (1-1-2) and a plus four rating in two call-ups to Vancouver this season.

The 6'3", 220 lbs native of Ostersund, Sweden was acquired by Vancouver 91st overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Goren, 28, played two games with the Canucks after being recalled from Manitoba on December 9th.

The 6'3", 209 lbs native of Winnipeg, Manitoba was signed as a free agent on July 7, 2004.

Goren played 28 games with Vancouver in the 2005-06 season recording three points (1-2-3) and 30 penalty minutes. Goren has played a total of 65 career games with three NHL clubs: Boston , Florida and Vancouver.
