Canucks Recall Rick Rypien and Tyler Bouck from Manitoba

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that centre Rick Rypien and left wing Tyler Bouck have been recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Right Wing Jesse Schultz has been re-assigned to Manitoba.

Rypien, 22, has played in 14 games for the Moose in 2006-07, registering six points (3-3-6) and 35 penalty minutes. The 2005-06 NHL campaign marked Rypien's first NHL season. He played five games as a member of the Canucks, notching one goal. The Coleman, Alberta native signed with Vancouver on November 9, 2005.

Bouck, 26, has recorded four points (1-3-4) in 20 games played for Manitoba this season. In 2005-06, the Camrose, Alberta native played in 12 games with the Canucks, registering two points (1-1-2) and 21 penalty minutes. The 6'0", 196-pound left winger has NHL totals of four goals and eight assists, for a total of 12 points, and 77 penalty minutes in 85 games played.

Right wing Jesse Schultz returns to the Moose where he is fourth on the team in scoring with 15 points (7-8-15) in 19 games played. Schultz, 24, has played in two games for the Canucks this season.
