Canucks Recall Defenceman Alexander Edler From Manitoba
Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that defenceman Alexander Edler has been recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Defenceman Patrick Coulombe has been re-assigned to Manitoba.

Edler, 20, recorded one assist and was even through four games played with the Canucks in the 2006-07 NHL campaign. The 6'3", 220 lbs. defenceman has spent most of the season with Manitoba, tallying four points (0-4-4), six penalty minutes and plus one in 13 games.

The native of Ostersund, Sweden, was selected 91st overall by the Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Coulombe, 21, played in seven games with Vancouver this season, registering one point (0-1-1), four penalty minutes and minus six. The St. Fabien, Quebec native was recalled by the Canucks on November 8, 2006.
